About Camelart

Camelart designer, Catherine Davies lives on the tiny island of Lismore just off the west coast of Scotland. 

In April 2020 she took early retirement from her post as Head Teacher of the island’s primary school so that she could pursue her own interests including hiking, rock climbing and kayaking in the summer months and more artistic hobbies such as drawing, sewing and music during the dark months of winter. 

However, the COVID 19 virus lockdown put paid to her summer outdoor plans so she invested in an iPad Pro, an Apple Pencil and the Procreate app and began drawing and designing. She used her lovely island home as an inspiration for her first pictures creating a Colouring Book of Lismore and a Lismore Tea Towel. She soon found that she was really enjoying her new hobby and began to create a portfolio of drawings under the name Camelart, which you can see on these pages.
